Absolutely amazing! The underground cellars at Cricova are like nothing I’ve ever seen – miles of tunnels filled with wine. Our guide was knowledgeable and the wine tasting was delicious. A must-do in Moldova!
This tour was the highlight of our trip to Moldova. Our guide, Alena, picked us up from our hotel on time and we were the only two people in the car – it felt like a private experience. Cricova is incredibly impressive with its 120km of underground tunnels, and the tasting room was beautiful. Milestii Mici had a more rustic charm but equally amazing wines. The food pairings were generous (especially at Milestii Mici) and we learned so much about Moldovan wine history. Can’t recommend this enough!

Visit the Cricova winery located in a charming place, 14 km north to Chisinau. Founded in 1952, Cricova Winery is a true gem of the Republic of Moldova, renowned far beyond the country’s borders. Learn more about the winery on a private guided cellar tour, followed by a tasting session of 4 different wines, 1 sparkling wine served with local snacks. We will visit the Wine Maturation Section, the Classic Sparkling Wine Production Section, and the National Collection and Tasting Complex.
Wine culture is such a big part of Moldova heritage, that this underground city is not even the largest in the country. The Mileștii Mici winery is known for having tunnels over a total length of 200km and the largest wine cellar in the world. Today, the collection exceeds 2 million bottles and can be visited at any time of the year, with a constant underground temperature between 12-14 degrees Celsius. The winery is located approximately 20 kilometers south of Chișinău, in the Ialoveni district. Here you will Pair 3 wines (dry white, dry red, Vintage dessert wine) with a selection of Prosciutto crudo, salami, carpaccio, breadsticks, nuts, prunes.

Awesome way to see two of the best wineries in moldova! SO much wine. Milestii mici also gives you a decent food pairing so you don’t have to worry about breakfast. Friendly and professional driver, overall well organized and enjoyable.
