Full Itinerary

Day 1 .  Chisinau guided tour of the city

Meet travelers at the Chisinau International Airport. Check-in to the hotel.

Welcome to Chisinau.

Chișinău is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Moldova, known for its vibrant green parks and a strong wine-making tradition. The city, situated near the center of Moldova along seven hills and intersected by the Bîc and Isnovat Rivers, covers approximately 120 square kilometers. With a population of around 488,000, it is the most densely populated city in the country, featuring a diverse ethnic makeup predominantly consisting of Moldovan and Romanian residents. Chișinău is recognized as Moldova’s industrial hub, contributing significantly to light engineering and agriculture, particularly in wine-making, which is a major export industry. Late morning / early afternoon you will be taken on a 2.5 guided tour on foot of the city and will have some dinner at a Traditional Moldovan restaurant.

Return to the hotel & spend late afternoon at the hotel at your leisure.

 

Day 2.  Milestii Mici , Etcetera & Chateau Purcari Winery

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departure to Milestii Mici Winery, which is the largest underground cave network with the biggest collection of wine in the world. These are situated at a depth of about 85m under the ground. This has been officially documented by the Guinness Book of World Records! Visitors have the unique opportunity to walk along the cool, dark galleries & avenues where big barrels are placed. The wine bottles, covered with noble dust are expecting for the day to be enjoyed.

Departure to village Crocmaz. Et Cetera winery.  Excursion & wine tasting. Meeting the Winemaker. Savour lunch by the winery.

Day 3.  Gogu winery , Castle Mimi & Asconi Winery

Rooms check-out. After breakfast meet the tour guide.

Travel to Causeni town. llie Gogu Winery tour &wine tasting.

The wine-making history of  Gogu Winer dates back 4 generations in the Gogu family. The winery’s founder, llie Gogu, is a winemaker by heredity, who made his ancestors’ dream a reality.

Boarding & travel to village Bulboaca. Castel Mimi Winery. Winery tour & wine tasting & lunch enjoying.

The Castle Mimi is currently listed among the most beautiful architectural masterpieces in the world of wine. The story of the castle begins in 1893 when Constantin Mimi, the last governor of Bessarabia, planted the first grape vines on the place that would become legend over the years.

Boarding & leaving to Asconi Winery. Winery tour & wine tasting.

In 2014 winery opened its doors to visitors. The tourist complex presents two restaurant halls, a spacious terrace overlooking the courtyard of the winery. Here you can enjoy exclusive dishes of national cuisine, prepared in the oven according to original recipes. For excellence and outstanding performance, the Winery Asconi  received in 2015 he the National Grand Prix of wine industry.

Check-in to the Asconi winery hotel. Spend time at leisure & enjoy dinner at the Balcanic restaurant .

Day 4.  Cricova Winery & Old Orhei & Chateau Vartely Winery

After breakfast departure to Cricova Winery.

Winery tour & wine tasting.

Cricova represents a unique underground city well-known all over the world by its huge labyrinths, & especially by its excellent sparkling wines. Guests can take a tour of the winery, which includes sampling three wines, and enjoy a meal at the winery’s dining facilities with a glass of wine and water provided. Known as the “pearl of Moldovan winemaking,” it houses a National Collection of wines and offers tasting rooms. Cellars of Cricova are the house of a remarkable collection of wines — The National Oenotec.

Guests will be taken into the Cricova wine tunnels by small electric trains.

Boarding & transfer to Orhei region.

Visit of the Moldavian village – Butuceni with typical 19th cent.houses, transformed today into quest houses. In one of them guests will be served with a lunch with traditional dishes & home- made wine, but before they will be invited to learn to cook their own “placinta”, traditional pastry filled with soft. Guests can visit the cellar of the house, taste wines by the jug. Optional horse carriage on the narrow street of the village.

Visit of the Complex “Orheiul Vechi”, it’s a museum in open space. Guests will witness the unique 13th cent. cave Orthodox monastery, run by a single monk.

The Orheiul Vechi Monastery, museum, and archeological complex together form the most famous tourist attraction in Orhei and possibly Moldova. Departure to Orhei City.

Check-in at the  Chateau Vartely hotel and proceed  with wine tour & wine tasting. Savour dinner by the winery.

Free time for leisure. Morning check-out.

 

Day 5.  Say Good bye to Moldova

Morning check-out. Departure to the Airport. If you have other plans to stay on longer independently please let us know so we can drop you to your hotel.

I'm a solo traveller, is there a single supplement?

This is a group tour for uptown 4 travelers . There are no extra charges and the price is fixed.

What is cancellation policy?

Cancellation fees – Cancellation fees may apply to any cancellations by the traveller of a service provided by Get-Locals.com. Unless otherwise specified, the cancellation policy is as follows:

  1. Cancellations for set tours and made more than 24 hours prior to travel receive a full refund.
  2. Cancellations for set tours made 24 hours or less prior to travel require the traveller to pay for the tour in full, and no refund will be issued.

 

   

     Cancellations for custom itineraries (“Create Your Own”) are as follows:

  • 60+ days to departure – Full refund
  • 59 – 31 days to departure – 50% cancellation fee
  • 30 days and under to departure – 100% cancellation fee

What happens in the event of bad weather?

In the event of bad weather forecast we will contact you the day before and offer you either a refund or an amended tour for the following day.

We always advice to wear suitable clothing for the day of the tour as not every day is guaranteed sunshine.
